BURMA 2015
A country covered in glittering gold temples and spectacular sunrise and sunset, numerous parks and lakes, every photographer needs a perfect lightning, here you have it almost all the time.
Light comes from anywhere, from the eyes of a monk, from behind a grove of trees, or from the light of a pagoda, no need to spend hours in front of your computer just to fix your picture, it is what it is.
I still remember our driver when we first land in Yangon, he dressed in sarong, like most of the Burmanian people and chewed areca nut, when he smile his mouth was all red, he was smiling all the time, remember that bring smile on my face now.
Yet this country have a very complex history.
Burma’s Irawaddy valley is very old – 3,500 years ago.
Today over 80 per cent of Burma’s people are Buddhist and the country has the largest numbers of monks as the percentage of the total population, then world war maneuver-freedom and lost leader.
And is true enough it was one of the best travel experiences I have had, the history, the landscape and most of the people.
I wish this country remain peace and beauty as I saw it last time.

BIRMANIA 2015
Un Paese ricoperto di scintillanti templi dorati e dalle spettacolari albe e tramonti, numerosi parchi e laghi; ogni fotografo ha bisogno di un fulmine perfetto e qui ce l’hai quasi sempre.
La luce arriva da qualsiasi luogo, dagli occhi di un monaco, da dietro un boschetto di alberi, o dalla luce di una pagoda, non c’è bisogno di passare ore davanti al computer solo per aggiustare la tua foto: è quello che è!
Ricordo ancora il nostro autista, quando atterrammo per la prima volta a Yangon, indossava un sarong, come la maggior parte dei birmani e masticava noce di areco, quando sorrideva aveva la bocca tutta rossa; sorrideva sempre, il suo ricordo riporta il sorriso sul mio viso.
Eppure questo Paese ha una storia molto complessa.
La valle dell’Irawaddy in Birmania è molto antica: 3.500 anni fa.
Oggi oltre l’80 per cento della popolazione birmana è buddista e la nazione ha il maggior numero di monaci, intesa come percentuale della popolazione totale. Il territorio nazionale è sempre stato minato da guerre civili che ne hanno turbato la libertà.
Ed è abbastanza vero che è stata una delle migliori esperienze di viaggio che ho avuto, la Storia, il paesaggio e la maggior parte delle persone.
Vorrei che in questo Paese perdurasse la pace e la bellezza, vorrei ritrovarlo nello stesso modo in cui l’ho visto l’ultima volta.
